ABOUT US

The Institute of Unmanned Technologies was established in 2023 as a strategic response to the existential challenges caused by Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. We have trained more than 250 specialists, most of whom are currently operating in combat zones.

Simulator training

A strong foundation for professional piloting is built through simulator training. Even after completing the course, most students continue practising to maintain and improve their flight skills.

Flights with training whoops

Practising basic flight manoeuvres with a small drone equipped with propeller guards. This format allows students to safely reinforce their control skills before moving on to full-size FPV drones.

Flights with combat drones

Practical training flights at the range using combat drones. Students practise crew coordination, terrain orientation, approaches to stationary and moving targets, payload drops, and operating under low radio-horizon conditions and electronic warfare interference.

Lectures and soldering practice

Modern theory of drone deployment in combat zones, the fundamentals of radio communication, and practical equipment setup exercises. The training covers everything from basic binding of the drone and radio controller to establishing a radio link through an airborne relay.

Practical training in conditions designed to closely replicate a real combat environment. Service members are divided into two opposing sides - offensive and defensive. This format makes it possible to comprehensively assess a unit’s readiness to employ unmanned systems in a dynamic and unpredictable operational environment.

During the training, service members deepen their understanding of offensive and defensive tactics involving unmanned systems.

  • selecting operating frequencies;

  • deploying repeaters and remote antennas;

  • operating under electronic intelligence and electronic warfare conditions;

  • camouflaging positions;

  • coordinating drones with the unit’s fire-support assets.

Field Training Exercise

R&D Center

A full-cycle R&D center that creates its own innovative UAV systems for military and civilian purposes. Our specialists conduct testing, analytics, and create innovative prototypes for practical application.

Training Center

Training of end users to work with unmanned systems. The training includes both theoretical training and practical training in real conditions.
